Parachuting Course

History & Legacy

X35 Airborne School's roots are deeply connected to the tradition of military-style parachute operations, with training principles inspired by the legendary National Parachute Training Center (NPTC)—founded by Bob Mathews, a pioneer in the world of airborne instruction.

Course Outline

Day 1

Welcome, safety brief, intro to equipment

Day 2 - 3

Ground School, Parachute Packing, Body Positioning Parachute Landing F Alls (pls’s)

Day 3 - 5

5 Points of Performance in The Harness & Mock Door Practice, Rehearsals, Final Prep

Day 4-5

Parachuting Operations

Day 6

Final Review, Team Debrief, and issuance of Wings Ceremony.

 

Equipment

  • Static-line parachutes 

  • Rigging and harness systems 

  • Ballistic and Bump Helmets are authorized to jump. Bring one if you have one. X-35 has bump helmets you can use if you don’t have one. 

  • Participants must bring boots that cover the ankle and physical readiness ○ Full military uniforms are often worn by jumpers and are allowed. 

  • Trousers and long sleeves are recommended.
